While the coast waits for water, the inter-Andean corridor dries. A single map is a mistake.

Talking about El Niño as if Ecuador were a single coast is geographic laziness. In the highlands the same event burns; it does not flood.

A national map in one colour is not rigor: it is convenience. The country is more than one climate at once.
